DBC Fund Request

The DBC reviews and approves fund requests from Discovery teachers and Northridge leaders. Funds for these requests come from the DBC's fundraising efforts. King Soopers funds may be used to fund school-wide projects that support the entire school, including Discovery.

In the past few years DBC granted more than $16,000 to support the Discovery program and Northridge. King Soopers funds specifically supported the purchase of the new interactive projector in the NRE library. DBC also upgraded the speakers and sound system in the NRE Gym. DBC provided funds for the Project Lead The Way and to purchase new kits and add ons for the VEX IQ robotics competition.

Fund Request Process

  1. Submit a completed DBC Fund Request Form via email at info@nredbc.org or the DBC mailbox in the front office.
  2. DBC Board reviews and votes to approve the fund request.
  3. If Northridge purchases the item(s), the school provides a copy of the invoice to the DBC Treasurer. The DBC Treasurer reimburses Northridge for the expense via an intra-district transfer.
  4. If a parent, employee, or teacher purchases the item(s), the individual provides a copy of the invoice to the DBC Treasurer. The DBC Treasurer reimburses the individual for the expense via check.
